A silly, emotional day

This week I started the week right by doing a small amount of working out. Today I posted a video of P90X to my FB page. As I was listening to Tony talk, I started to cry! I did not realize how much I miss working out with this program! I am so afraid that I won't be able to keep up with my former self and will be very depressed. Trying to keep spirits up when recovering from a car accident is not easy. I guess I did not realize how much of my identity was in my increased strength and abilities from P90X. I know I have to take it slow, but it is very hard to see the hard earned muscle go away. I have lost several pounds, and I know it is muscle. Tony Horton, I miss you so much!!

I am an avid P90X/Tony Horton fan! I am 44 years old now and am proud to admit it! Most people have guessed I was over ten years younger. (Doing happy dance :) I have lost a huge amount of weight since beginning the Beachbody programs, and decided that since it seemed I was inspiring a few of the people around me to get fit, I should become a coach and help EVERYONE GET FIT! It is INCREDIBLE! I REALLY LOVE doing this!

My husband and daughter are P90X grads, and many of my close personal friends are also doing P90X. All of the people I coach are close personal friends as well. Some do P90, some P90X, some do Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, Hip hop abs, and Kathy Smith's Project YOU: Type 2 Diabetes.

I was going along fine, working out to P90X by morning, doing circus arts classes, sword fighting, aerial arts classes, Girl Scouts, Directing a Ballroom Dance Team, and a variety of other activities I LOVE! Then, out of nowhere it all came to a screeching halt! LITERALLY! A car ran a stop sign and smashed into our car.

That evening began a series of painful sleepless nights that would continue till.... well is still continuing.

I have a herniated disk in my neck, pinching a nerve and and torn neck/back muscle.

Just found out I may not need surgery unless it does not get better. However, I can no longer X it up with Tony, nor can I do any of my normal (well I think they are normal) activities.

Now, a month later, I am attempting to get back into my pre- accident shape without hurting myself. I have not gained any weight, instead I lost some. I am sure it is muscle. SERIOUS BUMMER!!

I picked up Total Boday Solution, though, and it is helping me feel better.

Will update more as this progresses.
